Erin Lara

Manager Federal Title and Abstracting

Erin Lara began her career in the land and title industry in 2011, learning from a mentor with over 50 years of experience in the field. Over the years, she has developed a deep understanding of Bureau of Land Management (BLM) record keeping and the historical evolution of its systems.

In this niche area, there are no written manuals or formal courses. Everything is learned through institutional knowledge, persistence, and relationships. Erin has built her expertise by navigating federal records, knowing where documents are housed, and working closely with BLM employees to locate missing information.

Today, she spends much of her time maintaining those relationships and training others on the intricacies of federal land records, knowledge that most people never see but that is essential to accurate and thorough abstracting.

When she is not researching land records or training others in the field, Erin enjoys life with her family and their dog, whether traveling to new places, seeking out fresh experiences, or experimenting with something delicious in the kitchen.
